NAB Recovers 10,000 Acres of Land KDA
HYDERABAD: NAB Recovers claims to possess unearthed a land scam in Jamshoro district where 10,000 acres of land. The worth of which estimated at Rs75 billion was given under bogus allotments.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has retrieved Rs 75 billion worth of state land close to Karachi. According to the bureau, some revenue officials illicitly allocated 10,000 acres of land to many housing schemes near Superhighway Karachi.
The NAB initiated an inquiry against pretending allotments of land by the revenue officials in Thana Boola Khan Jamshoro area. NAB told that once the investigation concluded and the concrete proof presented, the Sindh Revenue Department canceled all illegal allotments of land. Around 10,000 acres of land recovered, NAB added.
The bureau arrested three revenue officials for tempering the land rights record of around 731 acres of land. The officers showed this land as privately owned. However, NAB arrested them in April and restored the state property.
NAB released many statements once the investigation saying;
An inquiry against revenue authorities on allegations of fake allotments of lands at Thana Boola Khan, Jamshoro, was administered and NAB was successful in getting thousands of acres of land canceled by the revenue authorities.
From established irrefutable proof, NAB got quite ten,000 acres of state land, embezzled and taken by land mafia, canceled by the revenue authorities of District Jamshoro.
The land allotted to many housing schemes close to main Superhighway. However, the answerableness watchdog didn’t name these societies and didn’t offer a particular variety on how many organizations have started their operations within the area.
The bureau closed the statement by saying that a reference filed against the accused before long. Meanwhile, once the NAB investigation, the Sindh Revenue Department illegal the issuance of sale certificates of the land in question.
